Influence, influence, influence. We are all affected by it and we all hope to have at least some of it on other people (admit it, you do). When it comes to understanding customers, brands spend literally millions of dollars researching influence and how they can best wield its power to make money.
Being curvy myself, I personally am most strongly influenced by OTHER curvy women who dress fabulously. Nothing bugs me more than going into the plus size section of a store (you know, that 4 foot by 4 foot corner waaaayyy in the back) and having a size 4 sales girl help me pick out clothes! Even if she’s a wonderful person, I can’t really relate to her on a fashion level and I feel that she can’t understand the challenges I face when shopping.
Question of the day: Do you feel being curvy changes what and who you are influenced by? What or who influences you most when deciding to make a purchase?
