As some of you know, I’m slightly obsessed with the Renaissance era, particularly the fashions. I even had a Renaissance-themed wedding last year, in which I wore a stunning royal purple dress. Even though my fiance refused to wear tights, we still managed to flawlessly emulate the romantic Tudor era.
Although I do not envy the oppressive laws the women of that time were forced to live by, I wouldn’t mind in the least having my own personal dressmaker like the noble ladies did. And now I can! A brand called eShakti offers both ready-made and customizable clothes for sizes XS-6X. And, believe it or not, the customization only costs $7.50; total, not per adjustment!
I am very, very excited about this because most of us simply don’t have the means to have our clothes custom made. Even though eShakti is still a new company and doesn’t yet have a huge selection, they are growing rapidly and I believe they will be a fantastic resource for the world of curves. Stay tuned!
Question of the day: Have you ever had clothes custom made just for you? Where? Did you feel it was worth whatever you paid for it? Why or why not?
