Italy has a special place in Il mio cuore (my heart). Last March, me and my new hubby traveled through Venice, Rome, and Florence on the most romantic honeymoon I could imagine. Italy was a different world with its breathtakingly beautiful scenery, art (especially the gorgeous Renaissance nudes), architecture, and, most importantly, fashion!
So I am thrilled to announce that Italy has officially become a curvy country by launching its very first curvy fashion magazine, Donne Con Le Curve (Women With Curves). A free, bi-monthly magazine available either via print by subscription or download in both the Apple Store and Google Play, it is a collaboration of 12 different bloggers dedicated to including all women in the fashion world.
Giorgia Marino, the brains behind this groundbreaking magazine, is also the author of Morbida la vita (Soft Life), a lifestyle blog focusing on body acceptance and “outside the norm” beauty. “Italy is waking up.” she says. “There is more attention to plus sizes. We bloggers have a large following. The brands have been noticed. But there is still a long way to go. Being overweight is not a disease. Dispelling myths and illusions, we are healthy carriers of curves. And proud of it!”
